The Holidays can be stressful. Why not allow me to help and enable you to cross two things off your list:

1. A family photograph for your annual Holiday card.
It is NO fun trying to wrangle your own family to get THAT shot worthy of sending out to your family and friends.

2. Design and printing of your Holiday card!
Allow me to send you several samples, incorporating images from your photo session, then all you have to do is address the envelopes and put the stamps on them!

I cannot do all of your holiday shopping or write your cards for you, but at least this is a great start! How good will it feel knowing that before you sit down to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner you already have your Holiday cards in the bag?

Call or email me to set up a date for a family photo session and we will take it from there.

On second thoughts maybe I can help with the Holiday shopping – family photographs make excellent gifts for grandparents!

Here are just a few of the gorgeous designs I offer for unique Christmas/Holiday cards.

I always love meeting new families and this session was no exception. A last minute cancellation meant that I had time to accommodation the S family for a mini session as part of my End of Summer promotion. Things always happen for a reason. Dad was off work to celebrate a special birthday and little Charlie was turning 6 months. Perfect time to mark the occasion with a family photo session. Charlie was one very happy little guy and Mom and Dad were very photogenic. Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family. It was great to meet you.

Another local photographer friend contacted me to book an End of Summer mini session last month. Of course I was delighted to spend time with her and her family again. It had been a while. I photographed them all when Nicholas was a newborn. He is now almost 19 months, so it was definitely time for new family photographs. Also a great opportunity for mom to actually be in some of the images for a change!

We had a picture perfect evening for the shoot. We opted to meet down at the waterfront park in Irvington for a pre sunset shoot. Despite the D family encountering a little drama on the way there, mainly due to traffic issues, they arrived in one piece with one sleeping child in the car. Fortunately he woke up happy and ready for a stroll around the park.

We had a fun evening together. Toby was thrilled that so many trains passed through Irvington station during the shoot. The excitement of seeing yet another Metro North train did not wane. It was adorable to see the sheer joy on his face for every single train. I had never thought of the Irvington waterfront as the perfect location for a family shoot when the family consists of little boys! I will remember that for the future.

Here is a small selection of my favorite images from that gorgeous summer evening that I put together as a storyboard for them.

I always think of family photography as such a rewarding profession. Enabling families to have memories captured for them to treasure for years to come and to share them with future generation. However this afternoon I was reminded just how important those images can be to the families that I work with. I received an email from a client whose daughter’s communion celebration I had photographed this past Spring.

Yesterday her father in law passed away and she requested a couple of images from the family celebration of her two daughters with their beloved grandfather. I was honored to be able to provide those precious images for the family to reflect on during the coming weeks and months.

To the R family
May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.
