INCLUDING YOUR FOUR LEGGED FRIEND IN YOUR SENIOR SHOOT
Being a dog owner and dog lover I wholeheartedly support any senior who asks if they can include their dog in their senior session, after all your dog has most likely been a huge part of your childhood. Here are a few tips to ensure it all goes smoothly.
- Plan on asking a friend or family member to come along with you to your session so that your dog can be cared for during the parts of the session they will not be included in. Better still, have your "dog handler" bring your dog for the beginning or end of the session only.
- Bring their favorite treats, toys, some water, a bowl and don't forget poop bags!
- If you have a long haired dog, plan a grooming appointment a few days before your session.
- Purchase a new collar and leash. These will be visible and so you don't really want a dirty, old leash spoiling the photos.
- Plan a cute accessory to coordinate with yours. (if your dog does not mind!). Try to keep it simple though. Most dogs would rather not be dressed up.
- On the day of your session take your dog for a long walk prior to us meeting up, so that they can take care of business and use up some of their energy.
