Last Summer and Fall Craig and I had the pleasure of attending several Botanical Beverage classes at Stone Barns Center. Visiting the farm and its surrounding fill me with such pleasure. The classes were no exception. Earlier this year Maggie Nolin, Philanthropy Operations Manager contacted me with regard to the creation of the 2016 Botanical Beverage Program. Some of the images I took during last July’s class in the dooryard garden are featured on this years flyer. I am honored to see my work featured and cannot wait to attend more classes this year.

This is a question most clients ask me at their ordering appointment. It is so difficult for clients to visualize what aspect ratio works best with each image they select to display in their home. I have created these guides to make that process a little easier and will create a personalized guide for each new client if they wish to see a variery of crops for their wall art.

The Holidays can be stressful. Why not allow me to help and enable you to cross two things off your list:

1. A family photograph for your annual Holiday card.
It is NO fun trying to wrangle your own family to get THAT shot worthy of sending out to your family and friends.

2. Design and printing of your Holiday card!
Allow me to send you several samples, incorporating images from your photo session, then all you have to do is address the envelopes and put the stamps on them!

I cannot do all of your holiday shopping or write your cards for you, but at least this is a great start! How good will it feel knowing that before you sit down to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner you already have your Holiday cards in the bag?

Call or email me to set up a date for a family photo session and we will take it from there.

On second thoughts maybe I can help with the Holiday shopping – family photographs make excellent gifts for grandparents!

Here are just a few of the gorgeous designs I offer for unique Christmas/Holiday cards.

This morning I took delivery of a new batch of promotional postcards.  They look absolutely fabulous.  I am so grateful to Linda and Liza at Inc Printing, here in Tarrytown for their prompt delivery.

I will be distributing the postcards around town in the next few weeks, so look out for them.  A complimentary 8×10 print when you book a newborn or family portrait session and mention the postcard.

I am also thrilled to announce the launch of my local contemporary art.  I am now selling prints, gallery wrapped canvases and metal prints of the images featured on the fine art tab on my website.  Contact me via email to inquiry about pricing.

Back in December the Allan Family welcomed baby V into the world, a little sister for L. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family once again. L had been a newborn client almost two years ago, so it was a thrill for me to see her once again, now a fun loving toddler.

When mom came for her gallery viewing appointment of V’s newborn shoot she confessed to still having the newborn prints from L’s session in the box that I had delivered them in back in 2010. Like many of us life gets in the way of framing or putting prints in albums. So the solution was for me to create two newborn albums for her. One from the 2010 and one for baby V.

It was wonderful to revisit L’s newborn session and create beautiful page layouts for her book. I absolutely love the way the book came out. Mom was elated, she will no longer have to reach for the box of photographs to remind herself of her first born as a baby.

I always enjoy visiting a clients home to see my work proudly hung on their walls. I was especially excited to see the cluster of canvases this family had selected to display in their family room.

I had worked with them to create a layout that fitted the space well and had initially come up with six different layouts for them to choose from. With the aid of Photoshop, along with a photograph taken by my clients of the space and the dimensions of the wall we were able to create visuals of how the canvases would look in place on the wall.

Here are a couple of examples.

In the end layout #6 won and looks fabulous. Thank you so much for allowing me back to photograph it.

I am thrilled to announce that I am now including personalized image boxes in one of my collections. These beautiful storage boxes are created to hold up to 18 5×7 images from your session. Each 5×7 print is mounted on matboard, which provides an extra sturdy back, perfect for preserving the value of your print over time. Also making them suitable for display on a easel for an ideal, ever changing desktop display.

The image box is personalized using one of your favorite images from the session to adorn the front of the box. Text can be included too if you wish. Totally customized to suit your taste.

I have been keeping the Fed Ex man busy this week. I tried out a couple of new products to add to my list of products to offer clients. I am really loving the message board. The boys have claimed it and have been enjoying writing messages and the “Question of the Day” on it! Whatever it takes to encourage my reluctant second grader to pick up a pen! The wipe board measures 12×18 inches and comes with the pen and magnetic strips to attach to the back. Perfect for the kitchen or office, that is if your children do not get to it first!

The storyboard is another wonderful way to showcase a collection of favorite images from a session. This one measures 10×20 inches.

I would love to hear what you think.

I love the simplicity of this holiday card as a way of showcasing your family images. This is a 5×7 folded card, named Very Vintage.
