I love taking time at the beginning of each new year to look back and reflect on the fabulous photography sessions I had during the previous year. Putting together a slideshow to showcase some of my favorite images is such a great opportunity for me to reminisce on those special moments I shared with my clients and their families.
I am constantly reminded how lucky I am to do what I love and of the trust my clients have in me by allowing my camera and I to document special times in their lives.

Five years ago in NYC I met #TheGs and their proud new parents. Fast forward to this Fall and The Gs became big brother and sister to #APA, the most precious little brother. I have seen the Gs grow from tiny preemie newborns to energetic, adorable five year olds. They have taken to the roles of big brother and sister incredibly well. It was a joy to spend time with this family of five (six, including the star of the show, Syke the Yorkshire Terrier)

When my friend Martha asked me if I was available to photograph a party for her friends I didn’t realize she meant her four legged friends.  Martha is what you could call a dog lover.  She was a wonderful group of like minded friends.   So she came up with the wonderful idea of inviting her friends and their four legged buddies for a holiday celebration.  What a fabulous idea.  The dogs had a blast running around in the snowy backyard and posing for photographs by yours truly.  It was a very festive affair with some of the pooches dressed for Christmas.

A lovely lunch and champagne was served for the human guests, which was delicious.  Each of the four legged guests were treated to a goodie bag containing cookies and a cute Christmas ornament from Bark and Meow.

I love this outtake.

When clients welcome a new addition to their family I am always thrilled. When the new family member happens to be the cutest little furball in town I cannot wait to have the opportunity to take in a little of that new puppy smell and this week was no exception.

Introducing Hazel, the most adorable little cockerpoo you could ever meet. The K family are besotted with her, and rightly so. I had a fabulous time watching her explore her new backyard. I am looking forward to seeing her grow.

And so it is time for my Spring Mini Sessions to begin. I met with my first Spring Mini Session family this past weekend at their beautiful home in Irvington. The children were adorable and a real pleasure to work with. Their 17 year old Westie just had to be in a few of the images too. He was such a cutie.

I love the non smiley images, so often they end up being my favorites.

I am looking forward to Spring weather kicking in so I can continue to shooting outdoors without everyone having to bundle up.

When Chappaqua author, Jeff Altabef contacted me with regard to headshots for the jacket of his book, Fourteenth Colony,  I was honored.   I met him at his home office.  We took a series of images there and then decided to head outside.  Offering him a variety of different images to select from.  His family helped him with the tough decision of which image would be THE ONE for the book jacket.  There was much deliberation, but in the end this was the winning image.

After the headshot images were taken care of I took a few shots of another important family member, Charlie, their puppy.  Such a cutie!

Introducing four month old Ginger. She is a gorgeous Irish Setter. What a lucky girl she is. She has been welcomed into the F family. Four adorable children and a bunny to constantly keep her company. Fun times are ahead!

I put together a slideshow of her session. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed spending time with her. I am looking forward to seeing her grow.

The best compliment I could receive as a photographer is when clients return for another session.  I also love it when my clients refer their friends and family.  As a way for me to thank you for spreading the word I am excited to announce the launch of my Share the Love client referral program.

For each new client you refer to Debbie Allan Photography you and your friend will receive a $25 print credit towards your next portrait session.

The good news is there is NO limit to how much print credit you can build.  However portrait sessions must take place within 15 miles of Tarrytown, NY.  If outside of this area a travel fee will apply.  Portrait sessions are for up to 5 family members.

I will be mailing out postcards to all clients next week. Look out for them in your mailbox.
