What better way to celebrate the arrival of this gorgeous Spring weather we have been waiting for than with an outdoor family photo session.

I am offering two options for Spring Sessions this year.

A perfect Mother’s Day gift for that special Mom in your life. I’ll even gift wrap it for you! Doesn’t get any easier than that.

It is always hard for me to wrap my head around it, but time really does fly.  It does not seem like 12 months since I photographed Finley and her family for her newborn photo session.  Fortunately for me I had another opportunity to spend time with this adorable family back in the fall for their Holiday card photo session.  However so much has happened since then and Finely has grown so much.  We spent some time at their home last week capturing Finely Aged 1!  Her personality shone through during the session.  We were fortunate enough to have to chance to take some images outside towards the end of the session.

Sadly Finely and her family will be relocated to Texas later this month and so this was our last session together .

Best of luck in the big move Finley and family.  It has been wonderful sharing this first year with you.

I like to hold off on blogging my Fall Sessions until the new year as the majority of my clients use the images for their Holiday card and so I do not want to spoil the “unveil”.  I think I am safe to share away now!

I held several dates for mini sessions during the Fall as well as many regular sessions.  I met some new families and worked with many existing clients.

If you would like a family photo session this year keep a look out for news on Winter and Spring Mini Sessions.

I love taking time at the beginning of each new year to look back and reflect on the fabulous photography sessions I had during the previous year. Putting together a slideshow to showcase some of my favorite images is such a great opportunity for me to reminisce on those special moments I shared with my clients and their families.
I am constantly reminded how lucky I am to do what I love and of the trust my clients have in me by allowing my camera and I to document special times in their lives.

Five years ago in NYC I met #TheGs and their proud new parents. Fast forward to this Fall and The Gs became big brother and sister to #APA, the most precious little brother. I have seen the Gs grow from tiny preemie newborns to energetic, adorable five year olds. They have taken to the roles of big brother and sister incredibly well. It was a joy to spend time with this family of five (six, including the star of the show, Syke the Yorkshire Terrier)

Last Friday I had the pleasure of meeting up with these two adorable sisters for their annual photo session. Mom and I agreed on the location and I was thrilled with the results. Here in Tarrytown the Fall color is spectacular again this year and I love having the opportunity incorporate the natural beauty into my family sessions.

If you would like images in the leaves before they all disappear please do not hesitate to contact me.

I felt a little like Postman Pat today, only no black and white cat in tow, a black and tan Rottweiler kept me company instead! I had several client orders to package up and deliver around town this afternoon. I love that I still get such a thrill from distributing the finished product to my clients. It makes me feel so satisfied when actual, tangible items are ordered by my clients rather than digital files. Call me old fashioned, but I do worry that ultimately the images on USB flash drives and DVDs are tucked away and forgotten about. There is nothing better than a framed image or photo album filled with images to look back on and enjoy over time.

My other deliveries may not have been seen by their recipients yet, so I do not want to spoil the surprise. More images of REAL printed images coming soon!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be offering Cape Cod Family Photo Sessions again this year. I had so much fun with the families I worked with last year and their feedback was so encouraging that I cannot wait to capture your family having fun on vacation in Cape Cod this summer.

I am currently offering sessions on Monday 24th – Thursday 27th August and Sunday 30th August – Saturday 4th September 2015.

Prints and other products are available for purchase.

A little “Throw Back” post today. I just discovered this storyboard and the beginnings of a post from two years ago in my draft folder! Not sure what happened, but figured these two brothers are too cute to stay in my drafts!

This session was so much fun. I hadn’t worked with the family before but the boys warmed up to me fast and were so great in front of the camera. The brotherly bond they have is so adorable and is evident in these images.

Looking back at this session made me realize that we preserved the “soon to be forever changed” landscape. A week or two after this the cranes started to be put into position for the pile driving for the new bridge!

Thanks for the little trip down memory lane today.

Following on from yesterdays maternity session on the blog here is the little guys first photo session. Once again mommy had her hair and makeup beautifully styled by the incredibly skilled and wonderful Anabelle LaGuardia.

Baby Lyle was an absolute rockstar throughout his first photo session.  It was a pleasure to spend the morning with him and his proud parents, who have taken to their new role so seamlessly.  Relaxed, calm parents make for the most amazing sessions.  This was no exception.

I was able to incorporate many personal items into the session, which I always love to do.  We used a beautiful homemade blanket gifted to them for baby Lyle, a toy that had been Mommy’s and her sister when they were babies and then the last element we captured was the friendly rivalry when it comes to baseball teams!

I am so thrilled that this cute little guy lives in the neighborhood.  I look forward to watching him grow.
