This little guy was due on Super Bowl Sunday. He decided he wanted to see the game and made his arrival the weekend before. When we set the date for his newborn shoot I had no idea that it would coincide with the Giants Victory parade in Manhattan (I did not think they were going to win!) Is it even safe to say that out loud in NY? I got lucky with the traffic and still managed to arrive on time to meet with handsome little man.
He stole my heart with his cuteness. Mom and Dad informed me that they had a tough night with him the night before. Despite the lack of sleep they were in very good spirits and were brimming with new parent excitement. It was so great to see. I love when friends I have known for many years become parents. Seeing them both swooning over their son was so heart warming for me.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph Jack at 10 days old and am looking forward seeing him grow through the lens of my camera.

The best compliment I could receive as a photographer is when clients return for another session. I also love it when my clients refer their friends and family. As a way for me to thank you for spreading the word I am excited to announce the launch of my Share the Love client referral program.
For each new client you refer to Debbie Allan Photography you and your friend will receive a $25 print credit towards your next portrait session.
The good news is there is NO limit to how much print credit you can build. However portrait sessions must take place within 15 miles of Tarrytown, NY. If outside of this area a travel fee will apply. Portrait sessions are for up to 5 family members.

I was so excited when snow was on the forecast last weekend. I LOVE LOVE LOVE snowy photographs. It usually works out that the day after the snow has fallen the sky is the most beautiful shade of blue. Last Sunday was no exception. The C family contacted me as they were interested in a snowy mini shoot to commemorate their daughters milestone – 18 months. I first met this beautiful family for K’s newborn shoot. It was fabulous to have the opportunity to photograph them again.
I bought along one of our sleds. Little K was so thrilled to be pulled along by mommy and daddy. She kept saying “MOOOOOORE”. I love this shot below.
I had such a wonderful morning. Another of my favorite shots from the session is this one. The new RiverWalk certainly is seeing a great deal of my camera and I lately.
And lastly one that captures the moment of K adjusting to walking in snow, with her cute little snow boots on. It was like watching a baby take his or her first steps. The excitement, pride and joy on Mommy’s face is precious.

I will be offering two different types of sessions:
1. A family portrait session to take place within the first three months of the finalization of the adoption.
2. A birth photography session to capture the birth of the adoptive child in an open adoption.

Winter Mini Photo Sessions…….. for a limited time only.
We are official in the midst of Winter here in New York, although some days it is hard to believe with the crazy fluctuations in temperature. As a photographer I LOVE this time of year. There is something so amazing and unique about the light, it is PERFECT for portrait photography. That is why I came up with the idea of offering MINI PHOTO SESSIONS for the months of January, February and March. This is a perfect time to update your family portraits. They would make fabulous Valentine or Easter gifts for your family.

30 minute session time
Up to six family members (bring the family dog/s to join in the fun)
The price: $225
Session fee will include 6 high resolution digital files with print release.
Bundle up in cosy, gorgeous knitted hats, scarves and mittens. Bring a blanket and snuggle up for a unique portrait session. If it ever snows again I have a FABULOUS five man toboggan that I am itching to use in a photo session.

Reconnecting with the M girls | Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Family Photographer | Debbie Allan Photography
I have been photographing the M sisters for three years now and look forward to their session every Fall as they are such fun to be around. The day of their shoot was incredibly cold, but the girls were tough and took it in their stride.
I am so excited that mom is expecting baby girl #3 in April, and guess who is going to be her maternity and newborn photographer! I cannot wait. The girls are going to be amazing big sisters. Mom told me that my newborn gallery made her want to have another baby! Oops, sorry about that.
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family back in November. I have been photographing Baby I since she was a few hours old. Her personality is really beginning to shine through now. She is such fun to be around.
